Terms of Service

Last updated: June 8, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WebGuardly (https://webguardly.com), our API, WordPress connector plugin, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The Service

WebGuardly provides website and WordPress monitoring for agencies, including uptime checks, SSL and domain tracking, incident management, alerts (email, Slack, webhooks), optional public status pages, and agency reports. Features and limits depend on your plan. We may update, add, or remove features over time.

3. Accounts & access

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
  • Organization owners and admins are responsible for team members they invite and for sites added to the workspace.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account, including API tokens and WordPress connector credentials issued to client sites.
  • Notify us promptly at info@webguardly.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to monitor sites you do not have permission to monitor
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or compromise our infrastructure or other users' data
  • Abuse rate limits, circumvent plan limits, or resell the Service without authorization
  • Upload malware or interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required from your clients before adding their sites, installing the WordPress connector, or sharing status pages and reports that reference their properties.

5. Plans, billing & payments

  • Free and paid plans are described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g. Lemon Squeezy). Their terms may also apply to checkout and refunds.
  • We may change prices or plan limits with reasonable notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms for subsequent billing periods.
  • Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. You remain responsible for usage within your plan limits until then.

6. Monitoring data & accuracy

The Service provides automated checks and alerts to assist your operations. Monitoring results, health scores, and vulnerability signals are provided "as is" and may occasionally be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate due to network conditions, third-party APIs, or client-site configuration. You should not rely on WebGuardly as the sole means of ensuring site availability or security.

7. WordPress connector

The optional WordPress plugin sends read-only health snapshots to your account. You are responsible for installing it only on sites you are authorized to manage and for keeping connector credentials confidential. We do not guarantee compatibility with every hosting environment or plugin combination.

8. Intellectual property

WebGuardly, its branding, software, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of your organization data and client site information. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to provide and improve the Service.

9. Availability & support

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance and factors outside our control may affect checks and alerts. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis via https://webguardly.com/support; response times may vary by plan.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEBGUARDLY AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WebGuardly from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or monitoring of sites without proper authorization.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel paid plans at any time through your billing settings or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or if required for security or legal reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete account data after a reasonable retention period, subject to our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

15. General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and WebGuardly regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.
